My girl cousin in Lahore called me a paindoo because I bought fake designer sunglasses from a street seller. She warned me in all seriousness ‘If you buy those sunglasses I will not walk with you if you are wearing them!’
I tried to explain the benfits of fake designer gear, but it was lost on her. I bought them anyway. She is entitled to her opinion but is she correct?
Well, Paindoo, an opinion is neither correct nor wrong...nor true nor false. It's just an opinion.
For every person who hates them sunglasses....you'll find someone who loves them.....such as ......um.....yourself, and the guy who sold them to you, the person who made the glasses, and the people who can't tell fakes and designers apart. :)
STICKER? Dude if it HAS a sticker…then it’s fake. I think even the designers of look-alikes will bother to create long-lasting inauthentic brand names that can’t be easily scratched off.

Dudette my point is , that without sticker even the designer glasses carry no value :p
My point is objects should serve a function. The label or sticker is irrelevant. Plus for 200 pkr I can lose them or 'aunty or uncle' can accidently sit on them and I wont feel like screaming rude words at them.
hmmmm bad sunglasses can mess your eyes up
its not about brands, but about quality
are they really UV protecting because if they are not and simply dark they do more damage to your eyes then not having sunglasses at all
if they say they are shatter proof but they are not, in case of an accident they gouge your eyes
etc etc

are you leaving your sunglasses on chairs? or do uncles and aunties typically sit on you?
Most of the time, its not what you wear but how you wear it! So yah . Though i agree with X2, itni kanjosi ka koi faida nahi that in saving few k’s you end up hurting your eyes :nono:.
Those ‘designer’ sunglasses are cool and look pretty real.
As for your cousin. The thing with a lot of Pakistanis is that if they look down on something, then they label it as paindu. Also negative traits/actions: all paindu.
Sad but true.
'Street vendors and street food are part of the enjoyment not found in London', I tried to explain to my cousin.
She looked down on me, thought I had no money, could not understand my views at all. She also refused to go to certain large shopping centers calling them paindoo places.
