Does it make skin dark???
i read it on this forum that rubbing alum/phatkari for under arms, helps in eliminating the smell :S
it does help in eradicating the smell, however, i’ve noticed a sudden change of color on the skin of underarms ( when i did this for abt one week)
so i m a bit concerned… thought i better ask at this forum

hunni_buney - How are you removing your hairs in the first place? Because depilatory creams can darken your skin.
i wax underarms..... n i noticed this darkening of underarms in 4-5 days, using alum :S
though alum is wonderful in disappearing the smell but this darkening is making me worried... 've left using it now

Well alum is meant to be good in eliminaing the smell. However, you mentioned darkening of the underarm try lemon as it is a natural bleach. Lemon has the quality to remove dead cells of the skin and deliver a fresh look to it. Rub lemon slice regularly over the infected area to reduce the darkness of skin under the arms.You may also want to prepare a home scrub using dried orange peel powder and yogurt and apply it over the infected area. This is one of the best home remedies for dark underarms. Do not shave or use depilatory creams under the arms as this will cause darkness stick to waxing..
