Alu Bukhara Chutney

So I have some plums sitting in the fridge and although they look ripe, they’re not. They are hard and very sour.

I don’t want to waste them so I was thinking if I can make the Alu Bukhara Chutney or Plum Preserve (the sweet one). I’ve searched online and all recipes for the chutney are with dried plums. So I need your help!!

Whoever helps gets a jar of resulting Chutney/Preserve. Thank youuu!

Re: Alu Bukhara Chutney

Just follow the recipe for dried plums.

Or this…

Add plums peeled and chopped in a pot, sugar, orange juice, lemon juice, salt, red chilli, blk pepper, lemon juice, chaat maasala, little imli water or paste, cinnamon stick. Let it cook til plums are soft and they chutney is somewhat thick. Take the cinnamon stick out, blend the mixture, cook for atleast another 10minutes or until you feel you have the consistency you like. Just remembers chutneys do thicken up a little bit when they cool off.

Yes you can replace orange juice with water. Just make you don’t add too much liquid.
