Hey all,
I’m going to need some help: I someone to do alterations on pakistani suits in the NY area, I;ll be in Long Island, so I thought my best bet would be looking in Jackson Heights and Hicksville. Is there any particular place in Jackson Heights or Hicksville area that will do decent alterations - the most important thing is that I need the shoulders shortened which requires skill. I’ve had a couple of bad experiences in this regard (botched jobs). I prefer Hicksville but if you know a place in JH that’s fine too. Also, I don’t have a good sample suit so I need a place that can work from body measurements but I guess if they can’t it’s ok. Let me know if you had experiences with these people and what you thought of their work. I would prefer a shop I could go to that might have a tailor in the back not someone whose home i would have to visit although I won;t rule out that option. I need to know ASAP because I’m only there for a few days and need to get them quickly.
