mqm has the image problem (due to its past), as far as weapons and killing in karachi is concerned mqm is a part of the problem but there are other stake holders too. MQM should try to improve their image regarding bhatta khori and terrorism, and then they might get some seats in the rest of the country as well because at the moment there is lot of depression in the country and there is no leader in sight so people might try other people in the next elections. If Imran Khan plays his cards correctly he might get some seats too on the expense of PMLN in NWFP and Punjab and some other parties too.

MQM seriously needs to cleanse itself of altaf, but seriously, are you kidding me that nawaz league vote bank will elect a karachi party? Heck, the most famous cricketer of punjab hasn’t made any breakthrough there and you are talking about someone from karanchi?

Before 2007, MQM had opened up offices in southern punjab like multan (swing votes) where there is a mahajir presence and in NWFP, though it would have competed with ANP there. MQM didn’t have any hopes for lahore back then or is it the takht of lahore that we have been told by AP?

well you have been hearing of the fake voting lists? besides during the lahore bye elections some of the latest ones PTI is offering some resistance to PMLN now, and recently PMLN has committed lots of blunders I think that would cost them some seats at least if not more if the elections are held soon.

We'll see in the next elections if I can be hopeful about Pakistani politics, but Imran has been in since 1996 and people have kept the pimp hooker relationship with the same politicians since then.

Imran has no sense and his political rhetoric is there for scoring points.

Everyone knows who is making Karachi a battleground.Had it not been M.Q.M ,the port city would have been ravaged by radical elements.
