and it says a lot about the terrorism of the paramilitary forces, as well as them aligning with haqiqi group which was no angel either.

it appeats the UN human rights watch did not think that gen babar did all the right things. u are free to disagree.

If you cant see the difference between the lal masjid operation and what happened in karachi then I can not do anything. its all there for you to read.

it is also interesting that at most a couple of hundred brainwashed militants get such strong statements from everyone and their grandma in pakistani political circles but teh same people cant say anything about the atrocities commited by babar in Karachi.

Now, having said that. karachites are not MQM and while it is an underhanded tactic of bigots to cunningly equate MQM with karachites, I simply will not fall for it. otherwise the same sort of extrapolation can be made to other groups.

People in karachi has rights, or do you think its okay that on one hand they are pushed around by a bhatta cartel and on the other hand by para military forces and the govt. cuz that is exactly what was happening in the 90s.

Its same as present govt killing indescriminately!!! At least Babar had killed alot of miscreats who were booked in murders, arson, rapes etc.. Babar is teh saviour of Karachi whereas, Altaf is the criminal in chief..

A lot of innocent people lost their lives during 1993-1997 here in Karachi. A boy was arrested from his shop and was later released by the agencies after a week in my area. He died on the day after his release due to the "chitrol" they had done on him. His crime was only that he let another guy use his shop phone.

Recent floods in Sindh and Baluchistan killed more than 250ppl and left thousands homeless, yet there was no public outrage, no political activists showing up to help these poor people, no assistance no shoulders to cry on. This is called double standards, open discrimination, jaundiced human rights.

IKN is a cheap populist, failed politician who relies on other peoples mistakes to promote his one man party agenda.

All could be forgiven except for his criminal silence on all (700+) those Pakistani soldiers killed by the Taliban/ALQaeda extremists.

but denying justice to all the karachites who were impacted by the barbarism of babar and BB is lame at best. The point is that while it is entirely fitting to make a case against hima nd try him and have him deal with the sentence, our champions of rights need to see what happened during Babar era as well.

I guess UN and human rights watch is altaf supporter by that token because the published the ugly truth about what the paramilitary forces did.
