No its not ironic, its all politics.. and also an attempt to save thy a$$. Now the very interesting thing to see is , would west ignore it or get a deal with AH as they still consider him as a power-player in pakistani politics.
You may not hear anything aout afia or iraq or muslims again from AH once the under-hand deal is done.
