Considering that the case of Imran Farooq is in the last stages, it makes sense for him to come back to Pakistan now. He has got an excuse of TuQ's long march for this purpose.
He is about to let out a massive one which his siyasi compadres in the room won't be able to take.

In case if he returns — which appears imminent like never before — will he also be a presidential guest like Asfandyar Wali for the rest of president’s tenure? He will then be sitting at the President’s House as official guest and MQM activists will be sitting outside the building with Dr Qadri. What a sight it will be…

On the surface of it the most plausible explanation seems to be that he will detach MQM from PPP. This would allow him to be in a position to allign himself again with PPP for a price or to allign himself with anyone else that might form a government in the future.
But then by making a public statement like that he could be just trying to intimidate the PPP to improve his bargaining position.

Suspense is killing me now. There is some talk about a movie of maryam Nawaz. Are they releasing that? If so that would be the end of Nawaz sharifs career, but also a new low in our politics.
