Shahzaib Khanzada did a brilliant program today evaluating how MQM(A) and MQM(H) killed thousands of people once MQM was split into two factions with blood flowing on the street.

Someone was telling me the other day that "Mustafa Kamal is nothing", the young Altaf Hussain was ideologically more appealing, far more passionate and a better speaker than Kamal, lol.

He was indeed a very charismatic leader. MK is no leader. He was probably a good administrator as a mayor, and that is it. In fact Altaf, just like almost any other political party head, set the party dynamics in such a way that it would never produce any leaders, only followers.

True that, his speeches were far more ‘appealing’ to masses who believe ‘urdu-speaking’ are deprived based on ethnicity, his speeches were more passionate.

It's a sad repeat of history.
Zia created the MQM when he saw JI failing to deal with Muhajir nationalism after the language riots.
Gen Raheel is creating a new MQM after seeing how PTI has failed to appeal to the Muhajir nationalism.
Karachi has become a laboratory for establishment where they create new versions of the same party to contain and control Muhajir nationalism to fight the bigger enemy. Previously it was PPP, and now it is MQM itself.
People of Karachi will never have the independence and choice to make their own decisions. It's the same old spoon feeding by the establishment. It's a cycle of prolonged emotional use and abuse.
