while the vast majority here is not in favor of AH there is no need to resort to name-calling.
it would be wise if you went back and edited your own posts.

Arrest of Altaf Hussain matter of weeks: Imran Khan

**LAHORE: The chairman of PTI, Imran Khan has announced that a case against Altaf Hussain and his subsequent arrest was a matter of weeks, instead of being as far away as months.

Talking to media at the airport, while on his way back after attending London’s APC, he said that ever since a Canadian court has declared MQM as a terrorist organization, filing a case against Altaf Hussain and his arrest seems only weeks away, and investigations being conducted by Scotland Yard and police are in their final stages.

Re: Arrest made in Imran Farooq's murder case

Whr r die hard fans of AH. Whats their reaction to these news.

Re: Arrest made in Imran Farooq's murder case

When ever they were pointed out terrorism by mqm they always deflected blame to PPP Leyari gangs, Zulfiqar Mirza and ANP. Again I will repeat what once great Ibraham Lincoln said 'You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time'

Re: Arrest made in Imran Farooq's murder case

Looking at MQM's past, their starategies will be, first to make frantic calls to USA and UK foreign ministeries. Reminding them of their loyalties and promising things the can do for them in Pakistan. If this fails, Altaf Hussein will suddenly remember Afia Siddiqui. He will start blurting about western imperialism blah blah blah and that they are against him and after him.

Re: Arrest made in Imran Farooq’s murder case

Remember last year in september when news of links of MQM to Imran Farooq murder surfaced, Altaf started rallies for aafia siddiqui.

http://despardes.com/?p=18767
MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the 86-years sentence handed out to Pakistani scientist Dr Aafia Siddiqui by a U.S. court in Manhattan. In an impassioned speech, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has said that Dr Aafia Siddiqui has become a “symbol of pride” for the Pakistani nation. The MQM chief while calling Aafia “Daughter of Pakistan”, urged the US government to provide evidence regarding the accusation that Dr Aafia fired at US soldiers and injured them. He asserted that people were aware of the false nature of allegations leveled against Dr. Aafia.

The chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement(MQM), Altaf Hussain, has demanded of the American Government to withdraw the sentence of Dr. Afia Siddiqui and that she be set free.

MQM’s leader , Altaf HussainAltaf Hussain said in an open letter to MQM workers meeting that international establishment wants to kill him , Pakistan establishment had failed in it. He further asked MQM workers to prepare them for upcoming challenges and their enemies are strong .

Re: Arrest made in Imran Farooq’s murder case

Read in some other thread that Nasreen Jaleel has already contacted US, UK embassies.

Is there any link between recent development in Imran Farooq’s case and Karachi mayhem?

Re: Arrest made in Imran Farooq's murder case

There is nothing new .
They are habitual of doing this all.
When ever they are in some trouble, They call foreign forces including India. Now this is not old MQM. This is a group of billionaires and AH is one of the most richest persons in the world but

Re: Arrest made in Imran Farooq's murder case

Nothing is going to happen to him in the Vested interest of Pakistani Nation and her foreign allies :D

Re: Arrest made in Imran Farooq's murder case

Nothing is gonna happen. Majority of sane pakistanis knew or had an idea that MQM hierarchy had something to do with it. But oh well.. still quite an interesting development. It would be quite a development if AH is indeed arrested!

Re: Arrest made in Imran Farooq's murder case

lol its time for 'pir' altaf to start rallyin for the talibobs and Dr. Afia again! yeah, he'll prolly get away with it like he got away with murder several times before, but what's shameless is how his little toadies know what a spineless murdering sack of they worship and follow.

Re: Arrest made in Imran Farooq’s murder case

They will be kill too. That is how MQM operates, but before that happens I hope they help land don of London in jail.

Imran Farooq’s ‘killers’ wanted to murder arrested accused

Agha Khalid
Saturday, August 27, 2011

KARACHI: The name of one of the two suspects arrested from Karachi Airport in the Imran Farooq killing case is Khalid Shamim. The accused had been arrested on arrival at the Karachi Airport from Sri Lanka following leads provided by the British government to the sensitive agencies of Pakistan.

On indication of the accused, an activist of a political party, Fahim Siddiqui, was also arrested from Karachi. The accused have been shifted to an unknown location for interrogation. Some sources said that the accused have been shifted to Islamabad but this could not be confirmed from the relevant sources.

An officer of the Interior Ministry disclosed that the British government had mounted pressure on Pakistan to hand over the accused. They have taken the plea that the murder was committed on the soil of the UK, a case into the incident was registered there and is being heard by a British court. They say that neither any case is registered against the accused in Pakistan nor other legal proceedings have been initiated, so the accused be handed over to them for bringing them to justice.

It may be recalled that the accused were arrested on arrival at the Karachi Airport from Sri Lanka on the request of the British government to the sensitive agencies.

The Pakistan government was also asked to constitute a joint interrogation team comprising personnel of all investigation and intelligence agencies. However, no directions for formation of such a team were issued till Friday night.

Investigators of the sensitive agencies claim that the accused have made sensational revelations about the case and provided some new leads into the killing. The sensitive information gleaned from the accused is though being shared with the British police and MI-5 but they refused to divulge its details to the press.

The investigators told The News that they were informed by a foreign intelligence service that the accused would be killed immediately after arrival in Pakistan and for that purpose they were called to Karachi.

The accused are believed to have been involved in planning the assassination of Imran Farooq in London. They hold very sensitive information about the killing and in order to avoid its disclosure, those behind the murder of Imran Farooq had decided to eliminate them.

The London police had intercepted some telephone calls and unearthed the plot. In order to foil the plan of those behind the killing, the accused were arrested from the airport.

One of the senior officers of the probe team disclosed to The News that some government personalities were taking keen interest in the investigation and the information gleaned from the accused.

It may be recalled that the former MQM leader was assassinated in a knife attack on the stairs of his home in London on September 17, 2010 when he was returning from his store.

The Scotland Yard police, investigating the case, had taken a Pakistani into custody in London who later succeeded in obtaining bail from the court. Thus the police were not able to get the desired information from the accused.

However, after grilling of the accused, the police were of the view that the elements who killed Imran Farooq had fled to South Africa. However, no details were divulged about the killers.
