Re: Altaf Hussain Updates | AH seeks more time for proof
Ali, one thing I must point out (I just went over our PM exchange about MQM). When I was blasting the MQM back in the days when PTI and MQM were almost one a while before the elections you were telling me in those PMs how MQM is a reality and Karachi’s mandate and we should learn to deal with that and accept that. Now with the PTI-MQM relations at their worst, I see you taking a hostile approach towards the MQM. What PMLN has done here with their uturn on MQM is no different from what you and other PTI was turning to in the past. I am pretty sure if MQM joins PTI right now most of you would then all of a sudden giving us the same lectures on how the MQM is the people’s choice in Karachi and should be respected and carried along. In a way what PMLN is now doing by talking to MQM is reminiscent of the approach PTI took back in 2011 when Imran called Altaf Bhai.
Moral of the story: Whoever turns buddies with MQM (no matter who it is) should be severely criticized (and in my opinion not worthy of a vote).
I stand by my stand that MQM was a reality of Karachi. These elections have shown us that the party has starte losing some of that mandate. If elections are held in the city in a free and fair manner I am sure we will get different results.
