MQM do not need bhatta to even have few hundred million pounds .. leave £350,000.
The thing that surprises me is that, all this Bhatta propaganda over 25 years have done nothing to damage the party ... neither the propaganda would damage the party in future too.
On the other hand, don't you think you should be happy if MQM really collects Bhatta, especially from Karachi, as that would make them unpopular in Karachi sooner than later, right? :)
They (businesses in Karachi) pass on that bhatta expense to common people of Karachi and some how this cycle continues unabated. They also claim that bhatta as an expense while calculating their taxes on profits, hence no adverse effect to these businessmen. (mehangai par galyan government ko militi hain)

Some questions have been troubling me right from the moment Bhai was granted bail.
How would we explain Bhai's arrest? Did the Scotland Yard arrest Bhai just to interview him? He could have been summoned to the police station for an interview. There was no need to create such a drama. It vindicates MQM's stance that since Bhai had been cooperating with the Met police, there was no reason to arrest him. Scotland Yard did not charge Bhai for the obvious reason of having short of evidence. After one and half years, Bhai was arrested for an interview? That's how Scotland Yard work? If they had weak or no evidence again Bhai, why they needed to arrest him at all?

it is a matter of law but reading posts after posts it is obvious bias in the minds of people with all due respect including yourself (your red sentence as example) makes them not only believe AH is criminal people already talked about his potential sentence term etc. 
What I said as a general statement that money laundering charge is very easy to make against anyone and one of many pre-requisites is whether the person is liked or not liked by any govt. or administration.
Since it is a very broad based definition, charges can easily be made against anyone.
What really matters is what is the truth and so far in this thread no one has shown any real knowledge of what was the basis of the charges against AH and more importantly what defense he has provided or will provide.

In England it can take upto a year to get charged. Unless someone is a witness to a crime and not the main suspect then the only way the police talk to him is under arrest in the police station. Arrest does not imply guilt. (though in his case we know he's probably guilty)

So you blame British government of partiality in this fraud case. When you guys comment you forget that judicial system in developed countries are very strong. It can drag its sitting PM and leaders to jails if found involved in above such fraud cases. This is not Pakistan or Paki courts and jails where you guys make law enforcing agencies and courts as your 'rakhel' get your criminal scot-free, blaming police and courts for victimization.
