So the max time is 14 years for money laundering, someone can correct me if its wrong. But with different other aspects into consideration he may get 5-8 years, as per british law specialists.

I think he would get less damage from time inside as compared to possible MQM collapse thats most likely to happen after him.

11 years in “that jail” for a chataeu in france, properties in UK and elsewhere in Europe and UAE and partnership with Malik Riaz. Not a bad deal at all.

Not an own goal at all, this was important to calm the blind supporters. Any stronger statement would trigger more violence and unrest. Reaction from MQM supporters so far suggests that they will still worship him even if he comes out and admits himself that he killed Imran Farooq or was involved in money laundering. Let British authorities handle this case and punish the man for everything he is responsible for.

How does the system of Court Hearings, and Trial work in UK? How long before the Judge sets a trial date, and either grants bail or denies it allowing the police to hold the defendant until next court hearing?

So he should have said "Aaj hamain aik khooni aur luteray se chutkara mil gaya hai aur sab ko mil k yaum e nijaat manana chahyie"?? His statement that **"his sympathies are with MQM supporters" **means a lot more to you than taking stand against Altaf Hussain, raising issue in Britain etc? His statement is obviously to keep Altaf supporters calm otherwise his actions got Altaf in trouble. Didn't he say that he opposes Altaf's policies and will keep opposing?

As for his so called support for Talibans, recent Taliban infighting is living proof that his strategy is working out to be better than let's just bomb the hell out of Waziristan?
