Yea, that is what happens when police do not consider that there is enough evidence to charge a person, but thinks that investigation should continue. Please read my earlier post where I mentioned from British government site, the reason for bail.

I don’t think that there is lack of evidence, there is enough evidence to convict Altaf Hussain. I think that either they want to make a stronger case against him due to his profile or they want to blackmail him.
