lol.. ya i just saw his speech.. Once again felt like 2 bottle tun. He was addressing MQM officials with Khushbakht shujaat in the front line and farooq sattar and others on back.
He bashed everyone for not answering the criticism done on him in talk-shows.
More importantly he has asked everyone to gather around in evening again, so more drama to come..

**KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder and chief Altaf Hussain on Monday asked his party workers to elect a new chief for MQM, ARY News reported.
**Speaking to his party’s office bearers, Hussain said that he cannot run the affairs of the party anymore, the workers should gather in the evening to elect a new chief.He claimed that he waited for forty years for workers to mend their ways and now he is tired and cannot bear the burden anymore.As the office bearers of the party urged him to take back his resignation, MQM chief said if they do not find his replacement, they can dissolve the party.“Go and run Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) then, dissolve MQM”, He replied.Altaf Hussain hung up the phone when the workers implored him to continue serving as MQM chief.

**MQM founder lamented that PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan is constantly criticizing him which he cannot tolerate any more.About the criticism, he said that Imran Khan accused him of being a murderer killing his opponents within the party like Azeem Ahmed Tariq and Imran Faroo in a recent television interview.” I even cried at the death of Imran Farooq, But he (Imran Khan) even mocked my true gesture, should I make merry on his (Imran Farooq) death???”, asked Altaf Hussain.He opined that Imran Khan during his sit-in freed his workers from police custody but none took action as all know that some army generals are backing the PTI chief.

**Altaf Hussain categorically said that no matter how many Rangers and Police personnel are deployed. If someone tried to change the results in MQM stronghold, the process of eventual breakup of Pakistan will commence from the day.MQM chief urged all office bearers to make all efforts to assure MQM retains its National Assembly seat in by-elections.

Topi hai..Altaf. He always creates such drama..and then their chalays..“bring em back”. Khair whatever..MQM should remain as a party. It is their constitutional right. However, please dis-arm and shun all militant activities. Take altaf out of equation..things will start to improve hopefully.

Is it that he is facing stress due to by elections in na246? MQM might still win but the margin could be narrower? Yesterday I was reading tweets from some MQM supporters, yeh saRkain kiski MQM ki, yeh galliyan kiski MQM ki. It’s strange for people who do not belong from Karachi.

Good riddance. I think MQM has a lot of potential and a lot of good and sane people in it. Altaf Hussain is what makes this political party look bad in my opinion. As far as militant wings go, every party in Karachi has militant wings including PPP and ANP.
They need a new leader and a fresh start.

Altaf also warned that if an attempt was made to tamper the results of coming by-election in NA-246 — Karachi’s Azizabad constituency which is also regarded as a bastion of the MQM — the consequences will not be pleasant and democracy may see its end.

MQM chief takes back resignation on party’s request

Hours after announcing his resignation, Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain took it back on Monday on the request of the party workers, Express News*reported.*
Earlier, the MQM chief said that he is no longer going to be the party leader and party workers should select a new leader soon.
“I will not be addressing the workers from now on, ” Altaf announced his decision in an emergency telephonic address to the party workers at Nine-zero.
“Workers should call off the movement and stop all political activities. MQM should divert all resources towards Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) and serve mankind,” says Altaf Hussain in the address.
He added that workers have my vision if they continue to run the party.
MQM chief said he is disappointed to listen to criticism and abuses hurled at him over the past 40 years on behalf of this movement for the Urdu speaking community.
“I have been in exile since the past 24 years,” said the party leader.
“Workers can choose another leader by reaching a consensus”, specifically pointing out towards senior member Farooq Sattar.
Party workers responded with chants in favour of their leader but Altaf Hussain refused to listen as he said his decision is final.
In the address the chief severely criticised Imran Khan’s statement against MQM in a show aired on Samaa TV.
Altaf Hussain said, “I cannot do everything alone in this movement,” wishing the party workers luck in running the party affairs in the future.
Faisal Sabzwari suspended from party membership
Noting MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari’s absence during his address early today, Altaf suspended the leader and has been asked to resign from his Sindh Assembly seat, party sources told The Express Tribune.
Following the announcement, the MQM leader submitted an apology to the Rabita Committee. Sabzwari said that he was unable to attend the address because he was unwell.
The Rabita Committee is yet to announce whether his apology has been accepted or not.
