Altaf Hussain and Britain

I was told by someone that if a person claims asylum as AH has done in Britain then they are not allowed to conduct political activities in the host country for their native country. It is quite clear that the British authorities have turned a blind eye and journalists and other political commentators either do not know about him presence and activities or for some reason do not cover him.

Considering that the MQM is one of the most violent parties in Pakistan and it has a long history of abuses against other parties and ethnic groups surely if the matter was bought to the British media attention the authoritie could feel pressurised to do something about AH? Why on earth is this party allowed to have a large office in London considering the atrocities it has committed?

We could start a petition against the MQM and AH. Recently a petition was started against the rioters in the UK ad it proved to be very popular. The current government has started that if a petition reaches 100,00 signatures it will be discussed in Parliament.

Could any one here with good knowledge of the MQM atrocities start this petition?

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

You raise a good point.

i think it is obvious Altaf Hussain is an agent used by UK/US to destabilise Pakistan.

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

It is not just about that. Surely he could be held to some form of account for what his political party has been doing IF the mediain the UK decides to show interest in his case?

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

This whole drama that you created starts from the very laughable statement of "I was told by someone". Someone WHO?
If this is the kind of arguments you accept against Altaf or MQM then there really is nothing to discuss. You are not using common sense in the case of MQM.

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

Why would the US/ UK want to destabilize Pakistan?
Why is ISI/ army working with US/ UK if they know they are destabilizing Pakistan?

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

neek kaam main deer na karo.

I doubt it is correct position as traditionally host of organizations operated from safe heavens like UK.

It is also correct that MQM is part of US plans, evidence recently released wikileak US consulate claiming MQM has 25000 armed fighter but also classified them as 'GOOD' (obviously mean someone is on US sides).

Anyway I highly doubt about if they have 25k fighters but mostly organization exaggerate their numbers to show their power.

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

US probably classified MQM as good because MQM is the most vocal and unambiguous opponent of extremism in the country. This is unlike Imran or Nawaz.

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

Do you think that US was a friend of Pakistan any time ?

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

This threads reeks of conspiracy theories...

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

add plz,.... and hate

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

Dear Sir

US embassy desptach was not about MQM the political party, it was about 25,000 armed fighters (10000 active, and 15,000 reserves).

It clearly shows that they consider these 25,000 armed fighters in Karachi as potentially their peoples.

There is not thing wrong if MQM limit itself for mohajir rights through peacfull means, the only problem is its fascist policy.

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

Of course, that's the US interest/agenda in the region...thank you for validating the OP's assertion...indeed America's goals in the region are cloaked as a fight against extremism/terrorism and MQM is their local proxy doing their bidding...

I hope even you realize the term extremist/terrorist is a relative one, US terms all opponents and critics of it's foreign policy with the same epithet, many a prominent and most imiment american intellectuals have been labeled by the US administrations covert and overt arms as extremists and anti-american...

Re: Altaf Hussain and Britain

Its not surprising. The UK has refused to honor arrest warrants both Musharraf and Altaf Hussien.
