KARACHI: The CID has arrested three men associated with an organisation working under Al Qaeda in Karachi, DawnNews reported.
***The men — Junaid Alam, Armaan and Hassan — are said to be associated with Ashaab, a group working for Al Qaeda.
***Explosive material and a large quantity of ammunition was also recovered from the suspects’ possession.
***Raja Umar Khattab, in-charge of CID’s anti-terrorism cell, said the men were active at the University of Karachi and in private universities across the country’s financial capital from where the group recruits religiously-inclined students.
***The group, whose chief is currently in Waziristan, carries out its activities in Karachi, Khattab said, adding that the arrested men did not employ mobile phones in their operations.
***Khattab said that of the different groups engaged in targeted killings in Karachi, the Ashaab group was chiefly involved in sectarian attacks and also in targeting police mobile vans.
He said the arrested suspects were involved in major terrorist activities in the city in the past two years.
This is what we need, arrest these terrorists, and hang them on poles in streets and later let the street dogs chew on them. We need to find supporters of TTP in all parts of the country and do the same to them. If ANY political party is found hiding/supporting these criminals the party chief must be taken to court and punished accordingly.
It's not really a big issue to trace them out in cities, almost peoples knows the specious persons living among them in a mohallah, area, colony, the problem is our corrupt police and over all system of judiciary. Sometime police give them way to escape and if it's a huge pressure on them they make arresting and from police station or from court they got clear and start living in different areas and story goes on..... ye police wale kisi ke nahi only money is their god. Pura ka Pura thana bika hota hai.

I agree with that, though here the arrest was made by CID. Many times police arrest a culprit and then either judiciary fails to find enough evidence to indict and punish him or there is pressure from political parties/local influentials.
What we need now is that as soon as a "terrorist" or "terrorist supporter" is arrested he must be transferred to special facility where he can be tried, indicted and punished.
We don't have death penalty.
We can't kill them outside of court house.
Best option is..."make it look like an accident"
We do have death penalty, the only issue is if judiciary can find evidence sufficient to indict them.
May be its time to reform the law against terrorism and quickly hang these guys.
If you go in details TTP is not linked internationally , They get it through Afghani Taliban .
But there is a nursary which in begining pushes students to the romantism of Pan-Islamism and than they are an easy target of terrorists who use them , which is Islami Jameat e Tulba .
Lahore , Karchi and northren side of KPK is their homeland .

That is "international" enough to me :), though I believe TTP enjoys support much beyond Afghanistan to me. May be it trickles "through" Afghani Taliban but there are more players pulling TTP strings.
Anyways, Pakistan has to steer away from playing the herd-dog trying to make a "Islamist force" in any way possible. In short term we need to make people "humanist" before the presented-version-of-Islamists.

To general public , We will have to clear them that these TTP people are " Mufsadeen , Munkareen e Shreat , Misl e Kuffar Murtadeen"
Our work will be easy .

That is true, govt and military will have to work on building national consensus towards declaring them anti-Pakistan, anti-Islam, which I believe will be hard and long work but should pay off in the long run.

According to one news caster there is 5% conviction rate for people being arrested in Karachi, we can easily imagine what would be the situation elsewhere.
