Squamish / Garibaldi Provincial park - ( near Vancouver)
Squamish is a small town near Vancouver where the sea shore ends and mountains begin. It’s very well known for its fanatically warm mountaineering culture. It has numerous rock faces including the ‘Stawamus Chief’ ranked # 8 in North America in difficulty rankings…
But, we were headed more inland - destination: Garibaldi Lake.

priceless views come without the price, but exceptional conditioning. We had to hike/snow shoe up rougly a 1000 meters over 10 k. But, with heavy bag packs, it's always a rigorous push. Behind the pack..perhaps not wanting to break the trail....but had to at other points..
