Alpha Hydrox AHA 10% - First time Use

I just started using AHA product for the first time. I picked up Alpha Hydrox AHA 10% Oil-free treatment from Ulta when I was in the States.

I’ve read a lot about how AHA tingles or stings your skin when you first apply. But nothing happens on my skin - is this ok? Or does it mean the AHA is not working? I’ve applied 3 times so far - but I don’t feel any tingling on my skin at all.

Also, I’m not sure if the tube normally is completely filled up, but this one doesn’t feel it’s full - not sure if I picked a bad batch or this AHA treatment just comes in a half empty tube.

Anyone used it or know anything about it?

Thanks!

Not everyone's skin reacts the same way to these ingredients. Just b/c you don't feel any stinging, that does not mean the product is not working. Use it for a month or so and then see if you notice difference.

Ulta is a reputable store so whatever you bought there is a genuine product. Not all tubes are 100% filled up. I don't remember exactly how the AHA tube is but again, if it's from Ulta, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks Paheli. Everywhere I read online, it said that AHA products make your skin sting so just wanted to be sure I wasn't doing something wrong.
