Exactly. Sometimes I feel that suddenly I got protocol officers on bikes in front of my car, with a determination not to leave my way for my own safety ![]()

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.
Well - if some one is going to be ignorant about people' safety and most of the bikers are ( i say almost all of them are ) - what do you want me to do - greet them with flowers ...
In a scenario - where I am keeping a distance from the car in front of me and and a biker uses that passage as his gateway ... Should I be pissed or smile at him ...
You hit one of them by accident and you see a gang of bikers gather like a mob to beat the shyte of the innocent car driver - without even learning who is at fault and who is not ... what are you supposed to do ?
And Bikers need not to clear the road for me - this the the job of the police van - driving in front of me vehicle :D
You slow down a bit and give him space, cause he just increased his odds of being in an accident and you don't want to be in that accident. So slow down a bit and let him be an ass.
Re: Almost getting killed everyday.
Once I save some money, I'm going to get myself a small hatch with a big motor, loud exhaust and then teach those tailgater a lesson.
Re: Almost getting killed everyday.
I agree with saeed. Bikes are much more fuel efficient - and double sawari saves even more fuel. Divas brobappears to be a bit of a kook - deliberately hitting a mobike rider.
Walk cycle bus/train mobike double sawar range from most favorable to still ok option
Car drivers are the biggest burden on the roads - and probably could use more humility.
Omg.! That train is worse then a tin of sardines lol how do u cope.?’ i get annoyed when i have to use the tube when i travel down to london and its mega packed during rush hour but not like this lol

Is that how the poor in Pakistan live?

Travelling in crowded buses is the least of their worries.
Re: Almost getting killed everyday.
The first one seems fake, don’t know. The second one seems a lot saner.
Weren’t you in Australia? When did you get to Japan?
Re: Almost getting killed everyday.
Having spent quite a few years in Karachi and seeing the traffic there, I think a lot of people are to blame. There are some who do abide by the rules of traffic, but a lot of people in any type of vehicle tend to break laws and drive like janglis. It is a pretty sad state of affairs overall and as usual it is the common person who gets shafted by the system.
Re: Almost getting killed everyday.
When folks dkrive without regard to others they slow everyone down. A 30 min trip ends up taking 40 min for the drivers as a group. The drivers who cut corners may get there say 1 min below the 40 min average - but 9 min longer than if everyone behaved in a civic manner.

If we're talking about reclaiming those ten minutes, we'd have to teach lane hoggers to move to a slower lane whenever possible. It's so annoying when a car insists on holding his lane when the road ahead of him clear for another 500m or so. He isn't going any faster than the car in the car next to him in the slow lane. Or the people who don't gun it when overtaking. The slow overtakers are so annoying(scary) that I prefer to slow down to let them pass.
The fast and the furious drivers don't contribute as much to slow traffic but they do seem like they're on a killing spree.
Re: Almost getting killed everyday.
Agree with first point - Ned to move over to slow lane with such a large gsnp (500 m)
Sloe overtakers - not sure how they slow traffic. Maybe they are blocking cars behind?
Fast and furious drivers wont slowctraffic in highways. But in a situation where lots of traffic their actions slow down traffic.
Personally in a 55 mph zone with lots of traffic lights and busy traffic I go at 45-48 mph - and leave 15 m with respect to car in front. Ensurecsmooth flow without hardly ever applying brakes. Anticipate lights take foot off gas coast till p light green
Re: Almost getting killed everyday.
The slow over takers are:
1) Scary
2) They're hogging the fast lane, so basically they fall into the road hogs category.
How'd you feel if you had two buses battling it out in front of you at 40km/hr. Or when a rickshaw takes 5 min to overtake a bus.
PS: I took the bus yesterday cause I didn't get enough sleep the night before. Wasn't half bad as it wasn't rush hour. Was going to take it again today, but hartaal. Guess I'll get empty roads today,........... or not.
Re: Almost getting killed everyday.
Good man! Hpe the hartal stops. Mobike not bad - though I feel guilty going counter to your pithasree
Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

Yeah. He doesn't even know I ride one, with him not living with me. Thinking of hiding it for when he visits.

Can't ride without one. The wind hurts my eyes too much.
Re: Almost getting killed everyday.
Alot of people dont understant probabilty. Like if you do something with a probabilty of dying of 0.1% (1 in 1000) you have a good chance of dying within 3 years.
Its like people think they can get away with it 100 times so they can do it forever. No, you will slip up. Go to any accident and emargancy hospital, you will see people who thought it would never happen to them.
