Almost getting killed everyday.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

the driver comes back?

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

How long has it been since you rode a minibus in Karachi? The smell is just one problem, which is exacerbated by the way the buses are stuffed with people. The bus conductor saying, " Ajao ajao bohat jaga hay", when I can't even maintain a wide enough base to keep from swinging, due to the bus drivers erratic driving.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

Point taken. I have taken public transport in cities across the border. If others do it - it is doable. I am not saying it is easy. Just saying it is for the greater good.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

Now it is time to pull the age card. You guys are so used to comfortable mode of commute. Humare zamanay Mein...

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

The thing is I had the cash to buy a bike, and my dad said no. I was pissed and I bought it anyway. You're talking exactly like my dad.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

They should ban all motor cycles in this city ...... or at-least put a complete ban on Double sawarii ....

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

Kis sheher ki baat ho rahi hay?
How about banning cars. That would really save fuel. Bikes are very fuel efficient when you compare them cars. Double sawarii should stay legal throughout the year so that people can escape the grip of transport mafia. Everyone can't afford to buy a car like you Naabigh.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

Karachi ki .....

No biker in this city - I have seen in last three years - drive in his lane ... You know what ? we dont have bloody motor cycle lanes in this city - except shahra-e-faisal ....

Bikes are the main transport used by target killers - mobile snatchers roaming in this city ... Ever wonder - why such criminal activities goes significantly down during the double sawariii ban days :)

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

Bike is the mode of transport of the common man. You can't ban bikes cause the police suck. And there is no dedicated bike lane. And staying in the slow lane doesn't guarantee no harassment. This attitude of yours, that bike riders don't deserve to be on the road is one of the reasons you guys harass us bike riders. Stay calm and learn to share. The roads are for everyone and you should learn to share them with the bike riders.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

The karachittes bikers dont deserve to be on road - because almost 70 % them do reckless driving - break traffic signals - never stay in lane ... have fake number plate ( like govt of sindh or other government number plates ) on their bikes .. Hardly wear safety gear .

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

The motor bikers I have seen were usually breaking all sorts of code. They use footpaths to avoid traffic jams. They tease lady driver by drive pass them time and again with speed to scare them off.
Fast lane is not for them yet they find it their ardent right to take that route.
My brother once sidelined one biker intentionally to teach him a good and proper lesson because he wozze not following any rule at all. Letting HIS bike all zig-gy zag-gy.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

Yeah right. That was real smart. Hmm, how about I try to kill the guy cause he might scratch my car. BUMP. That's so fair. Most of the bike riders I've seen ride pretty safe, however I can't say the same for the four wheelers on the roads.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

And that justifies trying to kill them. "Hmm, so he's riding a bike. He must have a death wish. I'll make his wish come true." Everything is so clear now. Bike riders should clear out the roads cause Naabigh is out driving his daddy's car.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

Agree that most of the bikers on Karachi’s roads are very much reckless. Just watch them on Nairang stop (Market at Liaqatabad), they don’t give you way until they put their bikes on the footpath to use it as their fast lane. In traffic jams, they make jams more pathetic. It seems most of them don’t have sabr and consider that Car walas are on the road for picnic :bummer: Most of them don’t have mirrors and don’t bother to wear helmets.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

Well I do have mirrors and I do wear a helmet, so how about you don’t kill me, please.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

I said most of the bikers don’t follow the rules and if you are following the rules Car walas are not on mission to kill bike walas :hehe:

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

Yeah they are. When they drive too close to me or swerve in front of me. To all the car walas out there, bikes can’t out-maneuver or out-brake cars so please consider this when you make a sudden movement near them.

Re: Almost getting killed everyday.

Well - if some one is going to be ignorant about people' safety and most of the bikers are ( i say almost all of them are ) - what do you want me to do - greet them with flowers ...

In a scenario - where I am keeping a distance from the car in front of me and and a biker uses that passage as his gateway ... Should I be pissed or smile at him ...

You hit one of them by accident and you see a gang of bikers gather like a mob to beat the shyte of the innocent car driver - without even learning who is at fault and who is not ... what are you supposed to do ?

And Bikers need not to clear the road for me - this the the job of the police van - driving in front of me vehicle :D
