AllThingsD: HP to fold Imaging and Printing Group into Personal Systems Group

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/08/8-18-2011hp-logo-cmyk.jpgHP might have at one point considered ridding itself of its high earnings but low revenue computing division, but AllThingsD has it on good authority that its profitable printing group is about to merged into it. Consolidating both should streamline operations, as both groups currently expend effort targeting the same business and home consumers alike. The consolidation also means Imaging and Printing Group head, Vyomesh Joshi, is on the outs with the absorbed unit reporting to existing Personal Systems Group head, Todd Bradley. Ultimately this all has to mean we’re one step closer to the webOS printer of our dreams, right?
