I think there are many on this discussion board who come out of hatered for Muslims and Islam…In their opinion what they are doing is a service to mankind by dissuading people from entering Islam and some posts have opened up in feedback regarding their behaviour…
For one, many people have different ways of approaching Islam…Some approach Islam out of genuine curiosity but their method to the overzealous Muslim may sound like its sprouting from hatred, while there may be those who just simply don’t know how to ask while others may simply come out of their dislike for Islam…
I believe it is very important for each and every one of them to be allowed to GupShup and ask their questions provided they remain and observe the proper protocols of decency…
Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed
and Hazrat Umar
were the greatest enemies of Islam and especially Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed caused massive damage to ranks and files of the early Muslim Ummah, however it was the nature of Islam that drove him to become a Muslim and become one of the greatest Muslim generals of all time…
From all the posts that I have read from soul, Wane, Tomsawyer and the others are indeed filled with genuine dislike for Muslims and Islam, agreed, but their posts are not filled with any disrespect, although they tend to use the Quran and Ahadith completely out of context…But that is and should be expected…
I believe they should definitely be allowed to stay and welcomed and their genuine quries be answered with the respect that Muslims are taught to answer with…Their coming here and asking all these questions was the first step, who knows what their second step might be and we might hinder it by stopping them…
It is our duty to answer their genuine questions in the best possible way…In this not only do we educate them but we better ourselves by approaching their skepticism with genuine answers and thereby educating ourselves…
To look at their queries with suspicion is to deny oursleves our own teachings…We should infact encourage people like them to join so that by answering their questions we become better Muslims ourselves and who knows, fertile hearts may sometimes be studded with thorny bristles…Once we get rid of the thorny bristles from one’s hearts, it is only then that the way is cleared to planet a fruit bearing tree…
In my opinion, they should definitely be allowed to stay…Unlike some members who mocked and ridiculed our faith, these people have genuine questions and doubts, things which it is our duty to dispel…
