i haven't chosen my valima outfit yet which is when i want to go to her since my wedding is in dubai and valima's in karachi, i wish i could fly her down to dubai!

Well, her specialty is her training in Lebanese style eye makeup, so why would you want her to fly down for something you already have there?! The makeup artists in Dubai are amazing, I remember even the normal salesgirls at the MAC store in the Sahara Mall in Sharjah did my eyemakeup once as a free trial and it was better than any MUA's bridal makeup in Karachi!!

makeup here in dubai is good but most MUA’s here make the foundation too white which I hate but culturally people love that here!
can you remember the name of the MAC MUA? it’d be a great help! i think i will go for a trial to MAC in dubai…

I don't remember the name of the girl, but just look at any MUA that has amazing makeup on herself. Odds are she did it herself so she knows what she's doing. Makeup trials are a good idea I think because Aliya Tipu uses a LOT of MAC herself so you'll know beforehand what shades look good on you and what don't. You might have to buy some products that they use on you though, however, but that's not so bad if you count it as part of your trousseau.
Btw, about the foundation, I think culturally everyone wants to be more white there that's why, but just tell them you want the base to match your skintone, I'm sure they'll accommodate you.

and true about the foundation, i had the opposite problem at my engagement, my MUA made me look too dark, she went a bit bronzing-happy! so now i'm very fussy about getting the right skin color!
I don't like her base/foundation or her makeup. Her daughter lives in Dubai and Aliya is often in Dubai. You can ask her for her dates etc.

@indylady it was actually ghazala who did my engagement makeup!! made me too dark!!
she used to be REALLY good but now she's changed her style abit, not sure why, and i don't like it!!
try zodiac on beach road, they give a free trial too!! i think it's 1200 for makeup, I can't remember now!
