Tu ghani az har do aalam, mann faqeer
Rooz-e-mehshar uzr e haey mann pazeer
Gar tu mee beeni hisabum na guzeer
Az nigaahay Mustafa(SAWW) pinhan bageer
Translation:
You are the Lord of both worlds - I am a faqeer
On the day of judgement, accept my excuses & pardon me
But if You must judge me and take account of my sins
Please do this unseen by the Muhammad (SAWW)'s eyes
Tu ghani az har do aalam, mann faqeer
Rooz-e-mehshar uzr e haey mann pazeer
Gar tu mee beeni hisabum na guzeer
Az nigaahay Mustafa(SAWW) pinhan bageer
Translation:
You are the Lord of both worlds - I am a** faqeer**
On the day of judgement, accept my excuses & pardon me
But if You must judge me and take account of my sins
Please do this unseen by the Muhammad (SAWW)'s eyes
Thanks. Surprisingly this particular quatrain is not there in any of the published works of Allama Iqbal. His son Javed Iqbal quoted an interesting event regarding this Farsi kalam in his book Zinda Rood, I will share after confirming the exact reference from that book.
