what is wrong with us??
nadia khan started this trend of giving away her used cloths as a gift to people who called/text at her show. initially it was alright, people would call and request to her give them her cloths, and she did. But after a while it become so cheap and disgraceful that people started “min’natain”, “wastay” etc. i just can’t believe on those people who are so desperate for a used suit that they don’t care about their self respect or anything, and literally beg her for a used dress.
Nadia actually said to people who were sending her text for her dress that "aap loog mujhay orr ziyada jazbati, pharaktay howay text karain kay mai jazbati ho kay aap ko suit day doon.
yesterday a women called, and then she told nadia that her daughter wants to talk to her. when the little kid got on phone, she just said “suit day dain” the kid was around two years old (i assume from the way she was talking). what the heck are those people teaching their kids, begging??
Now when i have more channels, i see the similar trend in other morning shows too, even though the other host doesn’t encourage that begging as much as nadia khan does but those callers just surprise me, like seriously doesn’t your family/friend/neighbours/coworkers/etc watches that show, and catch you begging on international tv.
Seriously people, it is just a used dress, it does not matter more than your self respect, get some life, work hard earn your own money and buy it yourself.

lol^ I cringe so much when these people come on and beg...its a really bad trend that's catching on, you're right in saying that its just NK that encourages them. Who does she think she is??
Thankyou for opening this thread. It's been bugging me too...how can these people wear something that's been worn by another person??? I am sure NK's team doesn't get the outfits dry cleaned before sending them out. Disgusting!
uffff !!! you are absolutely right yanzala, its disgusting that nadia khan has to resort to this in order to get people to watch her show, thats the only thing ppl are interested in when they call in, no interest in her or her show. seriously, she must be desperate for viewership! the other day she was talking about the responsibility of media to put forth a positive image of pakistan and look what kind of image she is putting on screen of our people by making them beg for her cast offs, shame!

Totally agree with you Yanzala! It is beyond annoying. Very pathetic. I haven't watched NK in a while. the other day my husband was watching the repeat of the March 23rd transmission and the show was supposed to be about 3/23 but had nothing to do with it LOL and I thought to myself, boy I'm so glad I don't watch this show :)
the thought of this topic came in my mind yesterday while i was watching good morning pakistan. they are giving away DVDs of their wedding week. a women text shaista yesterday and wrote all the emotional dialogs and stuff. In respond to that shaista said to her that she doesn't need to write all that crap (she didn't use the work crap) if she wants the DVD all she has to do is to just let them know, you don't have to write a roota dhoota message in order to get it. i am sorry i don't remember shaista's exact word, but i like the message she gave away. because i remember nadia khan loves reading those emotional blackmailing messages and she actually give away her dress to the person who writes the most emotional text.
Then during the same show yesterday shaista said that in her 23 March show while they were discussion very serious topics and all that some people started sending her messages to give them her dress, and that got her really mad that instead of the message that show is giving away people are interested in getting a dress. she also said that "agar koi host apnay show mai aap ko dresses day raha hai tou woh oss ki greatness hai, magar aap logon ko khud ko uss kay liyeh disrespect nahi karna chahiyeh" and i really like that she mentioned it.
Even in She is on one with sahir, women ask him to give them a gift ya phir "suit chiyeh" as KaraziM3 said I cringe when people do that. i feel embarrassed on their attitude. how could you let your self get so low for anything just because its free.
this cheezian manging thing is happening everywhere.... and its annoying as hell!! u go to masala tv... ppl are asking for their masala mags.... they call and demand the hosts to give them a masala mag.... and one of the hosts said that u can get it from a shop.... she was like no i want you to send me!!
i was the dr shaista show and she gave away the dress hadiqa kiani wore in her new pashto music video to the caller who asked hadiqa the most interesting question which seemed normal to me cuz in the states the celebs do give away there clothes once in a while as a fun contest but this nadia khan begging thing is ridiculous...i saw the show for the first time in a long time and i was just shocked when the girl was begging for nadias outfit but then i found out that nadia was actually giving it away.....hmmm
i am not against giving away cloths or gifts (personally i find it gross to wear second hand cloths..but if people like it then i must be cool for them) its the attitude of the callers who choose the beg for the dress i what annoys the hell out of me. and in nadia khan's case i hate nadia's attitude toward those beggars.

aur ab tou sab he channels aisa kar rahay hain, ary pe shaista wahidi to totally naqal kar rahi hai Nadia ki aur hum pay jab se sana tariq ai hai, us nai bhi dainay ki wohi cheezain lee hain jo nadia deti hai. shaista tou generator bhi day rahi hai. pehlay hum pe ghazal he behtar thi , aur aaj kal ptv pe ayesha sana aur atv pe farrah behtar hain ya indus pe amber .............baqi sab tou gai ............. sahir lodhi tou behan ki naqal karta rehta hai ........ us kai wedding week k baad ab khud manana shuroo ho gaya hai aur jo guest inn behan bahiyuon main say kisi aik k program mai aa jai , us nai 3 din baad doosray k program mai zaroor ana hota hai ............... sick of them.
Imania i really don't think shaista or sana are copying nadia khan at all. nadia gives her already worn dress to people. shaista or sana tariq's gift are always sponsored by a designer or a store who give their dresses to people to promote their dresses, or shop. when nadia khan gives dress it is only to promote her show, we don't even know who the designer are. and when ever shaista gives dress it is usually to every single caller not just one who calls and beg. i am fine with shaista and sana's way of giving things away because it has at least some manners.
...and i have no clue what is sick about calling same guest in shaista and sahir lodhi's show??? and also have no clue what is sick about copying the idea of wedding week?? i am having fun watching shair's shadi week this week and i am also going to have fun watching shaista's wedding week next week.
more fun things for me to watch, i have no clue what is wrong with it at all. it's all for us to have fun, so lets just sit back and enjoy who cares who copies who etc. as long as things are done with manner and etiquette no begging or insulting caller or viewers.
