Re: All you single girls...

Ok I'll be very honest here...after reading countless thread about married women and the problems they are facing regarding in-laws, kids, money, personality differences, I thank God that my fiance is a God send!! I've known him for two years and we've shared everything with each other and have been on the same page right from day one. Of course we argue every now and then coz we both have aggressive personalities but neither of us has had to compromise about anything because we share the same goals, same outlook and same views on life.

So I think I've begun to appreciate my fiance a lot more after reading these threads.

Re: All you single girls...

^ Great.

The best thing single girls can learn from some married women posting here is what not to do or what not to be bothered with.

Especially they should try to live their lives based on their own circumstances and to the best abilitie.

LOL at Dubaiwali post. So true in many ways.

Re: All you single girls...

I have a question for the married ladies.

If you knew your husband before you got married, i.e a relationship or being engaged, did you notice any differences in how them and/or you changed after tying the knot? I hear a lot about how things change after signing that paper and it makes perfect sense that they would. How did they change for you?

  • you need a lot of patience for the first two years of ur life...mostly keep ur mouth shut.
  • lovey dovey period will get over after 3 months, no matter itz a love or arranged marriage.
  • u will see a totally different side of ur partner few days after marriage, (let it be good or bad or mixture of both) which u had not expected at all no matter for how long u had been into relationship b4 marriage... -Not knowing, how to cook will increase ur problems..
  • Never share too much of ur problems with ur own mother..
  • Desi or non-desi, at the end of the day all men are same. -Marriage is a great responsibility and u need to get urself prepared for that realistically.. -Try to be as insensitive as possible when it comes to dealings with MILs.. -Compromise, Sacrifice,Co-operate.

Re: All you single girls...

lol...the one thing I learned was that when I get married I will NEVER ask a single girl "so when are you getting married?" or anything stupid along those lines ...cuz what in the world are you supposed to say after that?!
