You didn't make your answer to my question very clear. If it's acceptable to you that I include paras from my regular tilawat as part of the khatam, then I'm ready to take 16 and 17.

you can contribute that. But normally for each khatam, paraas are taken separately but if you do not do isaal-e-sawaab to any particular person on your regular khatam, then, there is no hard and fast rule.

I'm not too familiar with the term isaal e sawaab. Is that when you make dua for the reward to be transferred to someone?

Ok, so that's fine then. My next question is that why are we including only one person for isaal e sawaab for a particular month? Whenever I complete a reading of the Quran, I ask for the reward to be shared by a handful of people.
What I was suggesting earlier was to have isaal e sawab not just for one person at a time, but if we could have an ongoing list of people, so we can make dua for the reward to be transferred to all of them whenever a reading is complete. Unless of course you think that it doesn't work that way.

I normally make dua at the end of month for all Muslims and Momins, Prophet Muhammad:saw2: Sahaaba kiraam (RA), taabaeen, taba taabaeen, auliya kiraam, siddiqeen, shohadaa, saaliheen, all of them in general. But also particularly to one person for which we know from members. Normally, Isaal-e-Sawaab is done that way… you include all and specially to one for whom you read the Quran.
