Re: All things Malala Yousafzai
Well yes but also not really … There are child actors all over America who have been primed and groomed to deliver a good performance … By their own parents.
She has some good traits … Her father is ultimately responsible for her success as a good orator and the values she holds … At the moment she sounds like a politician … There is no real substance to her message … She is merely saying that she is going to “resist threats” … That is brave … But she is bolstered by a huge backing from the West. It is a noble trait nonetheless.
She is striving for education … At what cost? First of all, is there a problem there anyway? … When we think about it … The education for girls is not a major issue … There is no real opposition to girls being educated … So who or what is she campaigning for or against? If she comes to office and she puts in a contribution of education … What change will that make?
No, rather she is offering something more than education … She is a voice against the rebellion, but she is not balanced in her voice against all injustices … She sweetens to the West and the powers of the West and she defies the rebels … A person who stands for truth will be lonely in this world … As they will oppose the rebels and the establishment together … She is not doing that … That is why I have a bad taste in my mouth …
She is a commissar (Read Chomsky about Commissars and Dissidents)
She has achieved more in last 16 years of her life than most of us will in our entire lives. You can call her whatever you like, but to question her sincerity, and real cause she is fighting for (girl’s education) is utterly repulsive. Btw, even before she was thrust on to global stage she & her family were fighting for girls education in Swat. She was given national award for her work by GoP in 2011…a full year before taliban savages try to murder her in cold blood.
