There is an advantage to the moved thread not completely being moved, and the redirect being left in the original forum where it was posted.
The advantage is that those guppies who are a bit unsure of what's acceptable for the particular forum then know that a thread of that nature is not appropriate, and so they can keep that in mind for the future when they decide to open new threads or post replies to threads.
Your theory should work for 'new' users. I'd move or delete them instead of redirecting them..Mods r just too nice
lets have a time for them to be in this transition states and then be deleted from here....
