so first we are looking for a apartment for two peopleā¦not very expensive but in nice location i mean good family area
so tell me some nice areas and buildings for rented aparment and what will be the rent for year?
i heard ikea is good but u might know better about other home stoes and showooms i m looking to buy sony led or lcd television ,refrigerator what will be the cost of both ?
in furniture i m looking for bed (low bed, normal bed, round shape bed) wana know about all and 2 sofas or couches
In terms of area I have already suggested some in your other thread.
Regarding furniture: I actually prefer Home Center over IKEA but that's just a personal preference. There are also a lot of local furniture vendors (mainly in the Al Karama area). They use mostly Malaysian wood which I have heard is not of very high quality.
TV/Fridge, etc.: You can get those at one of the large supermarket outlets like Carrefour or Geant. That's where we got most of our stuff. There are also Electronics stores like Jumbo or E-Max. They have more variety but in terms of price they are usually not cheaper than the supermarkets (unless there is some special sale going on).
Btw, Ikea in UAE, will they deliver in Qatar? There's no Ikea in Qatar. :(
No they will not. Even though the distance between the UAE and Qatar is not big, flying is pretty much the only option to travel between the two. That's because the two countries don't share a land-border and therefore you would have to drive through Saudi Arabia which is not very feasible.

oh...interesting. I'm planning to get a semi-furnished house with white-goods and built-in wardrobes and rest I'll probably buy and get it shipped from Pakistan.
Qatari furniture shops suck tbh. High prices with very poor quality furniture.
I donāt know the current rents because I left Dubai more than 2 years ago. But checking out www.bhomes.com will give you a good idea about the rents in the different areas.
It really depends on what kind/size of TV or fridge you are looking for. You could probably get a small Sony TV for around AED 1500 while there are larger and newer models for which you could end up paying 20 times as much. A small non-branded fridge would be around AED 400, but you can also spend 30 times as much on a larger branded fridge.
The price ranges for furniture are even larger because there is just so much variety. So really difficult to name a figure there.
