either one can be inserted by doing an Insert --> Symbol

scroll through the subsets to your right.. Latin-1 has it.. and others may have them as well..

or easier yet, just put the c within parenthesis (c) and/or the r within parenthesis (r), and word should use the autocomplete feature to give you the copyright and registered trademark symbols respectively.
