I was told by various people that working wise arab states are not respectful to pakistanis and they are racists:confused:
what are your experiences andd how do u feel abt this statement.
and is it worth considering working in gulf states leaving UK,like how you see working enviroment in UK as to that in Gulf.
Yea so lemme tell you a really funny joke my dad told me
So this one Pakistani is living in Saudia Arabia. This Arab dude starts going off on him because he has his car parked in his parking space. The Pakistani says he has every right to park there. So then the Arab takes a sledgehammer and thrashes the windshield on it. Just then, a policeman walks out of a nearby building and grabs the Arab dude by the arm and goes, âWhat do you think youâre doing?! Thatâs my car! â. The Pakistani dude smiled at the Arab and just walked away.
well.............depends on wht type of a person u r........... pehley tell us something abt urself.......or maybe....wht exactly is the type of environment u like.............. waisay living in the gulf is pretty good for some...& @ the same time horrible for others..........
Yes, generally arab do have an attitude problem. They do treat sub-continent as inferior than themselves. For what I experienced, newer generation was more educated and respectable - but don't expect miracles.
For most arab states, simple truth is : you go there you work you get paid (hopefully WELL PAID).
From a family stand point, you won't generally won't have to deal with guns, drugs, (somewhat) alcohol, halal/haram etc issues so much - kids may have more exposure of eastern values - but you may have to keep your head down at times (when you shouldn't have to).
One of my uncles was originally from Pakistan, but went to university in the US and eventually became a naturalised American about 10 years ago. He worked for an American engineering company that had just won a contract in Dubai for a Dubai-based company. He was getting packed up and ready to move there as one of the lead engineers on the project, when all of a sudden the Dubai company stated that it refused to sponsor his work permit.
The American company inquired as to what the problem was. The response was that my uncle was born in Pakistan, and if they had wanted a Pakistani engineer they would have given the job to a Pakistani company; and furthermore they couldnât see why they should pay a Pakistani the amount they would pay an American.
So no, just changing your passport doesnât help.
What matters though, is which country you are in. My parents live in Bahrain, one of the less prosperous arab countries. They find that the lack of wealth makes Bahrainis very humble and they donât experience any racism there.

Arabs may be no angels but they are much better people than pakistanis, they have more values, are more honest and god fearing. Arabs may treat pakis bad in gulf states but come to pakistan you will see your own people treating you even worse, now tell me which is worse?
Most arabs are respectful to pakistanis, we just have the habit of constantly complaining so any small thing that an arab does to us we make an issue out of it forgetting the fact that its their country. And there is a reason for the prejudice againsts pakis because unfortunately most of the people caught committing crimes in gulf states especially KSA are pakistanis as well as those trying to smuggle drugs into the country. What impression does this give of us?
However pakistanis who work in good companies and have a respectable job dont get discriminated against, its mostly the miskeen pakis that suffer.
They are definitely a big plus, their holders recieve the highest pay package but the order is US, Canada, UK, EU and then lowest us pakis, indians and bengalis
