All is not lost - Hindu Muslim Unity still rules

We all tend to at times forget that people are capable of tolerance regardless of religion or race. Instances such as the one captured in this picture should serve to remind us all.

Ganesh Festival in Mumbai is a big affair. Millions celebrate in thousands of localities regardless of religion.

I juist returned from Bombay. I was talking to one of the young studs in the company named Riaz. Apparently, he knew more about the festival and wasgoing out with some of the other colleagues to the temple and feteing afterwards then most of the hindus. A beautiful thing. I need to promote him.

hmmm...nice :) i hope this becomes the norm rather than the exception...

Why the hell are them Molvis praying to an elephant?

I agree there shouldn’t be unnecessary violence between Muslims and Hindus and Muslims should tolerate the non-Muslims and vice versa But worshipping their false gods is wrong, that is the worst sin, which Allah Ta'ala will never forgive, He alone is the One worthy of worship...

Man I hate suck ups who go this far to please their kafir masters...

There is only one truth and that is Islam. Truth should never be mixed with falsehood.

“Say: O ye that reject Faith! I worship not that which ye worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. To you be your Way, and to me mine.” (The holy Quran Chapter 109)

^ Oh do shut up!! People are enjoying eachother's reverence for god.

well, i am not against hindu muslim unity (to some extent only).......but i would say "SHAME ON MUSLIMS WHO ATTEND SUCH FESTIVALS"........

These types of activities dont show any unity at all.. respect and tolerance of others faiths should be in heart.. it doesnt matter what religion one follow but adhere to values and teachings.. I have gone to so many temples, gurdawaras, Churches.. with my friends of those faiths and took them to mosques too.. I never prayed but remained silent in respect.

What the hell sister, you call that nice??

Do you realise how evil it is?? It makes me want to puke my guts out.

The foundation of Islam is La ilaha ilallah and the biggest sin ever is Shirk and that's what them Molvis are doing.

Muslims should deal nicely and justly with the Kafirs and be kind to them and tolerate their right to exist and follow their religions but saying their evil beliefs and practices are right and participating in them is just plain wrong.

Saif, when Muslims attend a Hindu festival, that doesn't mean they gane up Islam or Alla. Can they not be praying to Allah in their minds while the Hindus standing next to them pray to Ganesh?

This is a beautiful thing for a muslim to attend a festival because their Hindu friends invited. We need a lot more of this Saif. Trust me, no harm comes to islam or alla because of that.

In fact these are the muslims that bring glory to their religion. While the whole world is calling muslims intolerant because of the terrorist trash, these are the muslims that show islam is a peaceful tolerant religion. They show it in action rather than citing hadits or quoting Holy Koran so that non-muslims can understand.

Please bless them, don't hate them. Survival of the world depends on you realizing this.

brother, where r they doing shirk in the pic? :konfused: they are just making bajamaat dua :konfused:

How can one possibly have the gumption and arrogance to call someone else's religion "evil"? Is your own faith so weak that you cannot show respect for others? Is your God so jealous that he won't allow it? These people should be commended not chastised and judged by the intolerant of their faith.

Exactly. You don't have to go against islam or pray to other Gods if you don't want to. Just show the respect due to to friends' beliefs.

I'm all for tolerance and being nice to fellow human beings regardless of skin colour, caste and creed but there is no need to start worshipping their false deities.

There is other ways of promoting peace; they could provide food, medication education, shelter and health care etc. for Hindus who live in poverty or care for old aged Hindus who have no one to care for them.

Hindus are misguided and need to be shown the light of Islam through wisdom and preaching, worshipping their false deities does not help.

They are doing dua towards an idol of the Hindu god Ganesh.

Dua is a form of worship and only Allah has the right to be supplicated.

^ you still don;t get it. I don’t think you ever will. Think higher evolutionary planes… :k:

Oh yikes  dint see the pic that closely  Hmmm ya thats a bit weird…praying to a moorti :bummer:

I wouldn’t do it …but khayr…Allah only knows what their intentions were…

Did you look into their hearts, did you put your ear to their lips as they were uttering their prayers? How do you know whether they were worshipping the idols, or whether they were directing their prayers to Allah?

Being in any place of worship doesn't mean that you are worshipping the deity in that place of worship. i don't know how many times Muslim imams in my local community have been invited to churches to give presentations about Islam. Does their presence in a church mean that they are worshipping someone other than Allah (Nauzubillah)?

In the picture, maybe the imams are praying to Allah. Unless you hear from the imams' lips that "I was not praying to Allah", i suggest assumptions about other peoples' duas shouldn't be made. You are accusing them of shirk - which is surely a huge sin.

yep pray to become muslim next time

Can u post any pic that pundits praying in a mosque showing this great unity!

I have been a mosque many times. Hell even prayed to god there in my own way. One doesn;t need to be a pundit. And if I come back as a muslim, so be it. If I can still revere other traditions and religions than what a good thing.
