Hi zimzimma, did your daughter have a febrile convulsion? My daughter is 2 and has had two seizures in 2 months. It is THE most scariest thing in the world...I thought she was dying! We have had an EEG and CT scan all was fine Alhumdulillah. Have they given you any medication or told you why?

How's your daughter now?
She had 3 episodes of focal right sided (afebrile) seizures lasting 10-14 mins
She had blood, urine and stool tests - all fine, a MRI which was fine, lumbar puncture which was excruciating for me and baby which was also fine and an EEG which was fine too, so they couldn't give me a reason. They themselves said its unusual to have 3 in one day and then nothing, and she didn't have a temperature either. they also checked for viral infection which she didn't have either.
after the third seizure they gave her IV Phenytoin and also IV Acyclovir and Ceftriaxone which they stopped after 48 hours to assess her. They prescribed Buccal Midazolam in case she has another episode.
