Places and names are part of history and any attempt to change them (under the pretense of that “we” are not “connected”) is the stupidest thing one can even think about.

There is a disconnect in your logic. If people are in fact disconnected, then they could care less about what so-and-so road is called. How many lahories really know who Davies was? After finding out…how many CARE?

Do you know that Muree Road in Rawalpindi was renamed something many years ago, and 90% of natives don’t know what it was renamed to. It is still called Muree Road.
