**QUETTA: All five judges of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) have chosen to resign. Their resignations come four days after the Supreme Court's landmark judgment declaring all Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO) appointments unconstitutional.**

The Acting Registrar of the BHC informed DawnNews that the judges have written a letter to the President of Pakistan, asking for early retirement under Article 195 of the 1973 constitution.
He said the letters have been faxed to the Presidency, the Governor of Balochistan and the law ministry for acceptance.
Resignations of the BHC judges have left a vacuum in the province as no judge is left to hear the cases in the High Court.
So far no fresh appointments have been made by the President to get the court functioning again.
