  1. Do you need a theme?
  2. Do you just mean colours for you to wear? ~If so please don’t put together yellow, green and hot pink, it’s really overdone.
  3. Family members holding a dupatta over your head? Come in a doli?

  5. Mehndi cones, for some reason I’m gonna say a packet of sugar as well? I would say churiyaan, but I don’t think you could get the right amount and the right size for each person.

Colours and theme depend on what you like and what suits you. Main colours are normally green and yellow, but nowadays anything goes…turquoise, purple, pink, orange, red etc.

Favours - On my brother’s mehndi we had flower bracelets which we gave to the guests on entry. Then small mehndi cones and also chooriyan. Chooriyan are possible, but you have to sort them out before hand. What we did was buy various sizes, ranging from kids to adults, and then I tied up 10 or so into bundles with ribbon, and then put them into a massive thaal.

thnks a lot.. theme in such a way that both family will like im urdu speaking and my finacee is punjabi so i want mix of both

There was a thread a while back about a “paindu/punjabi” themed mehndi, you should search for it, there were some really good ideas.

Weren’t the flower bracelets expensive? I think the packet of sugar might actually be a punjabi custom.

Dunno…left the pricing to my dad! It was just those ones that street vendors sell in Pakistan.
