Just wondering, does the quran make any references to beings from other planets(extra-terrestrials) and their existence?
If they do,could you please post these references.
I've been meaning to ask this question on GS for the past year or so, lookin forward to the replies..
Bhaiyon mere..in the 7th century, the concept of a world outside the earth, jannat, hell, and the moon an dvisible stars was all that was fathomable. We didn;t even know the size and age of our planet let alone whether their were aliens. We don;t even know if there are aliens today. we only know of the illegal ones.
I don't know about Quran, but Allama Iqbal Rehmatulla Elaih said:
"SitarooN say aagay JahaN aur bhi haiN
Abhi Ishq kay ImtahaN aur bhi haiN"
Quran mentions "Universe", which certainly implies Universe at large, and not just the planet earth.

I agree Matsui jee,but I keep reading verses from the quran which depict life in the 20th/21st century. And well since the answers to all our questions are in the quran,i just thought maybe there was some useful insight.
If Extraterestrial Life form is discovered tomorow, then you will get Muslim aalims around the world telling you that it is already mentioned in quran about aliens.I am not saying that they will be lieing or something, quran does have some verses which are Positive about ET life forms, but it is no use to reference them now as nothing has discovered yet
I agree with Code Red. Maybe in the next few years when the next prophet comes and brings the new version, it will contain references to little green men. Until then let;s not try to look for things that are beyond the capabilities of a spiritual guide.
Actually it is mentioned in Qur'an with a promise that you will have communication with them. (Even if you don't physically visit their planet and vice versa).
Really Aj, that is fantastic. Can you put the sentence and the translation?
in quran it says many many times " HE is the LORD OF THE WORLDS"... so there has to other worlds and other ppl....
Ppl actual excerpts from the quran please...:)
Err..Heman was the master of the Universe. what the hell does that mean? ![]()

42: 29/30. And among HIS signs is the creation of the Heavens and the earth, and of whatever living creatures HE has spread forth in both. And HE has the power to gather them together whenever HE pleases.
well i don't have the quote from the quran yet, but i'll try and find it. well ne ways i think says something in the terms of that there are other creatures but only the jin and humans were mentioned in the quran. ne ways other than that i was wondering if ne one here has heard of the new theory about aliens and religion? i forget the name, but some guy was astonished by the facts in relgious texts, especially the Quran. he said he had no idea how people could have known such things back then,it was impossible. so he did some research and in old paintings he found aliens and spaceships. so now his theory is that aliens came and told all the prophets all these secrets, and aliens r the ones who told Newton about the gravity stuff, and all that atom info was given to the humans by aliens. and when they didn't like something they would tell the humans to destroy it. well i know it's absurd but it's a very talked about theory now days, they say that if the existence of aliens is proved, then it will change religion completly. just wondering if ne one here heard about it to?
aliens dont exist as far as Islam and Muslims r concerned....
let me know when scientists really find one....
hey mattie, it is not the matter of 7th century....Quran is the book that caters for the situations of all times (past, present and future).....and btw, according to Quran, we are not the only creatures in this universe, but ofcourse superior to others...

If you dont beleive in aliens then it is fine. But Islam never rejected the posibility of Alien's existence Infact there are several quranic verses that there are more worlds like this and Allah's creations, about which we have no knowledge.
