Well you asked me whether this event is discussed in Quran or not. So I gave you a verse as a proof. The details of the journey are in several ahadiths and I am sure that you will also find mentioning of Burraak (winged horse).

I disagree. As Christians we can’t exclude life on other planets BUT we can exclude the idea of them visiting planet Earth otherwise there might be a clash with the Christian salvation idea.
For myself, I believe only the creatures as defined in the Bible to exist until otherwise proven. Some people might even say that Angels are Aliens though…

Man sore, the word alien is a synonym for different/dissimilar. Anyone with the ability for rational thought would find the notion that “creatures” from outer space could have evolved to be human beings ridiculous. I know that it happens in star trek, but in reality a Klingon can not mate with a human and produce viable, fertile offspring.
The rat-like mammals that existed on Pangea in pre-historic times evolved over time, after the continents split, to become aardvarks in Africa and badgers in the new world. If you put them together in a cage today, they can’t do the deed no matter how enjoyable it would be to see.
Same goes for extra-terrestrials, they evolved separately from us (I assume) and would technically be different species. Heck, they might not even be carbon- based lifeforms made up of DNA.

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullah,
People talk about the existance of aliens. All I see in these posts are "I hear the quran says this (and no ayah), or I think theres a hadith (and no hadith to see)" Subhanallah, I didn't know that Muslims base their beliefs on 'I heard', or 'I think'. Verily, we base our beliefs opon proof (from quran and sunnah and what has been approved by these two).
Besides this, many people are making their own interpretations of the quran. If anyone wants the interpretation / explanation / tafsir of an ayah or explanation of a hadith, they should look at what the scholars say (since they have studied tafsir for the ones who have, or have studied hadith for the ones who have because their are certain methods for tafsir and explanation of hadith from the sunnah)
Relating to the question, I remember one ustadh said that he asked a shaykh this question once (What is the Islamic ruling on UFO' sightings? Is it acceptable to believe in other intelligent life other than Humans, Angels and Jinn?). The shaykh said that the quran doesn't proclaim that it isnt possible, meaning it doesnt negate such, or affirm such. We know, then by default, that we can not say it is true or it is false.
But the Ustadh also said that,
"if something is found, it is from the creation of Allah. How often do we find new things (like new fish, new animal or plants) that we did not know of before, but were discovered recently. The purpose of this knowledge (of discovery) is not to say, "O Wow,COOOOL". No, it's to understand YOUR creator who made these amazing, beautiful things, and who has the power to reward his obedient servants and punish the evil transgressors. So as you drive to work (wherever), look at all those trees on the beltway and think, 'how could I turn my back on Allah, the lord of these trees, the lord of this sky, the lord of this morning sun, the lord of my eyes through which i see all of this.'
And Allah knows best."
As to account for the 'supernatural occurences', we have only proof to believe that this is the work of the jinn, unless proven otherwise (which isn't at the time)

very interesting so far, a question (and I hope the threadstarter doesn't mind if I ask this here, if you do mind, I'm sorry):
what about ghost sightings? when you die, you are already being punished in your grave or awarded in your grave. So the souls of dead people are either being punished or awarded in their graves. That means they can't be haunting other places, right? So ghost sightings are in fact jinn sightings or shaytaan?
(only serious replies please, or else non and again, if the threadstarter minds, I'll delete this post and start a separate thread :) )

Assalamualaikum,
Indeed there are no such things as ghosts (spirit of dead person in this life). The souls of humans after death, are in a state of barzakh (grave period), and are either rewarded or punished in the grave. We know this from many ayat and from sound ahadith. So those who claim otherwise, should bring out their daleel. (There is no daleel, so don’t bother)
What you might see are ACTUALLY the works of jinn. Keep in mind, that there are bad jinn and good jinn. The bad ones are known as shaytan, and the good ones are Muslims. The Muslim jinn know that they have nothing to do with us (humans), so the only jinn you will find that interrupt the lives of humans are the kafir jinn, or the muslim jinn who is doing a bad thing.
The reason jinn do such is because the fact that Allah (swt) gave humans aqal (intelligence). The jinn have the mind of a child (as stated in ahadith). Which is why you can not reason with them easily to leave a person’s body when they posess it. As for when a Muslim jinn posesses a human body, one ustadh told me that it was comparably easier to reason with that jinn to let go of the body, and he reminded the jinn that it is not right in the deen of Islam to do what he was doing. So he left the body.
The jinn posess a person’s body for a few other reasons also. The first I mentioned was due to their arrogance. They know that Allah (swt) has given the humans aqal. So since they have the power to see us, and we cant see them, the arrogant one thinks that by posessing the body, they show their control over humans. They also do things for the person skilled in black magic. One of my Ustadh had a friend who did black magic, but later the person came back to Islam (he was Muslim, and by commiting this act of black magic, he left the fold of Islam, but he later stopped and thus came back to Islam).
It is obvious that black magic is nothing more than a pact with the jinn, and there are a lot of crazy things that the jinn makes the human do before the human is able to practice this witchcraft. This friend specifically, had to worship the shaytan for 40 days. And there are many other things like this. So the jinn excercised his feeling of arrogance and control over the ustadh’s friend. After that ‘initiation’, the person was able to do things like picking up a car (obviously, we know that allah gave the jinn a lot of strength which he did not give humans,and so that is how he (ustadhs friend) was able to do such things).
The jinn are also the explanation for how the fortune tellers and soothsayers do their thing. First of all, I’d like to say that almost 99 percent of them (fortune tellers /soothsayers ) are fake. So there are not that many who actually make a pact with the jinn. The jinn get their information by two ways (there may be more than these, i don’t remember)
- they are able to travel faster than the wind. so if the question was about some place, they’d answer in that way (refer to story of Salman, the only prophet who Allah gave control over the jinn, and story of fast jinn)
- They eavesdrop on the heavens (refer to surah jinn; and Allah had made this impermissible for the jinn- but the jinn like us have choice and thus can obey / disobey Allahs command, so the shaytan amongst them go near the heaven, and they hear only what Allah has decreed for them)
Even after all of this, the Prophet (saw) said: “For every truth they (jinn) tell, they tell 99 lies.” So there’s no use going to them (the fortune teller! And Besides this, going to them and listening to them is a major sin. Believing in them is considered shirk and can put a person out of the fold of Islam!

Where ever you go around the world you will see soem of the basic teachings of Religion whether it be Islam, Christianity or judisim in evry tribe or area!! Aeas like South America where new tribes have been discovered when tere way of life of beliefs were studied strong resmblences were discovered to 3 main religions. this prooves beond doubt that a messenger with a similar message has been sent every where!! thats why camels were not needed!!!
