You know TV shows aren't suppose to be perfect. You work with what you got.
Its suppose to be a comedy first and an effort to be original. If this show holds ground, maybe in future you will find shows that better portray Pakistanis and Muslims. Though I am sure you can never make everyone happy ... so some will still complain.

Even an average five-year-old US kid - after being exposed to all this "Islamic terrorist" hula that surfaces the media almost every week - knows it's "Islam" and not "Muslimism". So they should have made it clear in the show taht either the teacher was born yesterday to show such ignorance or the tv-series is being filmed in some very illiterate and disconnected place in Africa and not Wisconsin.... or otherwise, everytime i will take it as an offense and not humor.
I think that you really are missing the humor here. The teacher was clearly exaggerated and ignorant. As were the other students. We're supposed to be able to see why they think that way, but see that they are wrong.
I agree, he seemed untrue as a Pakistani. But otherwise, it was a nice effort.

he is indian.can u recognise from face whether a person is indian or pakistani. do indians look different? even the charatcer Baboo from Seinfield was played by Indian actor.
I dont think it is easy to find pakistani actors. Films have always used Indian acotrs to play Pakis.

Excuse me, but it seems that the show just is reinforcing the current stereotypes in the US. Let us see if we actually learn something from show...

I'm sorry, I didn't know Pakistanis were fluent in Arabic and had excellent Arabic pronunciation when reading namaz.
In fact, I wish they would call it namaz instead of salat; that's what most Pakistanis say.

I thought it wasn't that good either. It's the same old stereotypical stuff that they always have with high school shows. I don't understand why he would still be wearing a kameez thing even when he's going to school.....wouldn't he switch to normal shirts and pants.
prison break is really violent though right?
