it is a sad truth but most black and white Americans are somewhat ignorant to south asian culture. They know what Islam is for a couple years now but if you ask them what the difference between Islam and Hinduism is they would be like "what's Hindooisaam?".

if this show is successful, at least it'll bring awareness about other south asian cultures and Pakistan

They aired the pilot tonight. Did anyone see it? Any comments? (please don't move this to the entertainment section - this discussion will have emphasis on what this publicity is going to do for muslims in America, especially Pakistanis).

I saw it; it made me laugh. The character of Pakistani kid borders on over-the-top but doesn't quite reach it.

I enjoyed the show a lot. This, along with Chuck, are the only shows worth watching this season.

^ they are actually making fun of themselves by showing that most white and black americans do have that ignorance that's why words like "muslimism" are being used. I'm sure most people are just as ignorant in real life....i've come across a few myself

I wish they had used a more common pakistani name for the character...it would've made more sense.
