2B: How does that disprove the first part? Religion is not being mandated by the gov't it is as simple as that. Muslims in India enjoy more freedoms than muslims in most islamic countries.
What I don't agree with the BJP gov't is it's hands off approach in stemming sectarian problems, it's stance on aablolishing affirmative action policies for minorities and it's moddlycoddling of subsidized industry. The fact however is, that since 1991, governance powers have been highly decentralized and state gov'ts have to step up and assume responsibility. This is the beuaty of democracy. Khair...it's a foregin concept to the khilafaites...
