Alienation in Britain

Re: Alienation in Britain

Actually in Britain both bowling and cricket usually involve drinks as well. The problem with places like the US is that they have little understanding of local culture as they are basically a society of immigrants, so there is no local culture to speak of.

Re: Alienation in Britain

Pakistanis have a culture.

Re: Alienation in Britain

so you mean your parents are pakistani but you dont know that they are until you are 10 years old? and arent even aware that there is a place call pakistan??

Re: Alienation in Britain

As a brit-muslim i dont feel alienated at all, av had the best of both worlds. I wear shalwar kameez to work, speak with a pure mancunian accent and boy you should see white peeps faces wen they meet me in person - they expect a gori! Me & my gorey colleagues go to bars/restaurants and i can honestly say i've never had any trouble. Yeah i do get the odd stares in the bar but thats about it. As one white colleague said 'you and ur mates must have boring evenings out as you don't drink, smoke or go nightclubbing.' So we invited her to a night out with us and she got a shock that yes we can enjoy ourselves without resorting to alcohol, tobacco & nightclubs. What i cant understand is why some of the brit-asian lads think they black. wuts so good thinking siding with blacks or tryin to be like them. I mean i've not come across any blacks thinking they asian/paki so can some lads plz explain this to me, esp the lingo. Each time my cuz come up from London i think they come another country, i just cant understand them!

Nothing wrong with Black people but people of Desi descent who act Black annoy me to no end, those sort of people are scum, they are the lowest of the low and thick as pig shet yet they think they're are something.

Black people are moving away from that sort of culture now and dying to be normal but Desi descended people are fascinated by their crap lifestyle.

I was talking to a Gora yesterday and he said that when he first met me he was a bit apprehensive because he thought I'd be like the other Paki descended boys my age, arrogant when not really having anything to boast of and a hollow head but he says after talking to me he realised I'm just one the lads, down to earth and chilled out and he says he was surprised to see that I don't walk as though I've got pebbles in my shoes or try and talk Ebonic with a slightly bading accent.

It's that sort of Paki descended filth what give us all a bad name because Goray people feel intimidated by them, nothing wrong with beating up BNP people and showing them what we're made out of but what pisses me off is when they start picking on some white kid sat at the bus stop or shouting racist abuse at some old couple..

Re: Alienation in Britain

No when her parents moved to Britain and took British nationality they became British ‘of Pakistani origin’ just as second generations are British ‘of Pakistani descent’ not Pakistani themselves.

What’s Pakistani? It’s not really a proper nation with a language, culture and heritage such as China or Arabia or Germany, it’s only an artificially created country.

Pakistanis are only Pakistani because our lands are under the occupation of the Pakistani state, most Pakistanis can’t even speak Urdu and even those who can prefer their own language except for the few Punjabi/Mohajir city dwellers, even in Islamabad/Rawalpindi Potowhari is preffered.

To most people in Pakistan, being or not being Pakistani is irrelevant.

Re: Alienation in Britain

So the govt. want intergration yet they call people born in the UK 2nd generation decent from this and that...makes sense!

Re: Alienation in Britain

My Parents were formative years were spent in a semi autonamous state in what now called Pakistan, they are very patriotic to where they lived but had never called it Pakistan..

Re: Alienation in Britain

i think brit-pakis ought to do what american-pakiz do and have done for a while now. Raise both middle fingers and lip sync 'kiss mah a**' to anyone giving 'em nasty looks. Cuz when it comes down to it, ur country is where u live (if ur legit that is) ppl will always hate u just have to make 'em understand its ur country as much as theirs. While u don't support such radical activities as terrorism, u can still make a stand and let people know though u may look alike but ur not the same. period. Black ppl have fought it off, though they're not considered the creme of the society still but they're more accepted than outsiders, ur turn to do the same and keep at it till the ones that feel 'alienated' get accepted. so there u have it boyz n gurls!
