I’ve use aliexpress.com (same business but retail site) escrow service and didn’t have any major problem with that except that sometimes the product itself is disappointing. If you are placing order on alibaba, i am assuming its for bulk order and in that case, don’t go for China post. I’ve made only one purchase through alibaba but didn’t use escrow and paid via paypal instead. The product was shipped through china post (pitched as free shipping) but it took 10 months to reach Pakistan. There are multiple vendors for the same product so make sure you select the ones with good reviews.
