1983: school time , and it happened to be at the C.A.A public school at cantoment lahore very close to where he lived with family .
art education ran in the family with both the parent’s serving as professors at the punjab university giving him a constant push to do wonders which also lead to topping the martricular examinations at the beacon house defence campus .
a dire cricket fan :wanted to be imran khan like every other kid but well just like imran khan didn’t end up singing “channo” he didn’t endup facing “ambrose”! fate.
being an introvert , was a very low profile kid at school .
First incomer ever : sold a ninja turtle drawing for Rs .20 to a friend and lived happily on that money for month .he made huge life size thunder cat for school .Ali zafar also won the best yuong artist in lahore award n was hence known as artist of the school.
one major crush in class eight …stop getting wild thought’s …she don’t like him that way …well…sing on… sing on… sing on !
ALI ZAFAR AS SINGER
Ali zafar always as a child listening to his father sing away the night with bunch of friends .but he came the upfront in the early years of the college after practising for two years at the government college nazir ahmed music society where he discovered his singing potential for the first time .The passion to sing n to learn to grew more everyday to a stage where he skipped classes just to do "sa re ga ma "at the society.
That is where he started learning the harmonium and hit notes on his first ever casino piano which was as big as a book . the yamaha PSR-630, a sixteen track sequencer which taught him the art to sequence n record , rythms beside’s working away the melody n the chords , came much later .
Ali zafar took his basic training from mehdee hassan’s shagird israr chisti and still learn’s . The persuit to learn everyday and the more he knows the lesser he thinks he knows.And it’s the same persuit to learn n it’s the same respect that he has developed for the truth in music that brings here to the day where his debut album stands as the best selling album of the year .
ALI ZAFAR AS ACTOR
Ali zafar came into when the audition for mega production "KAANCH KEH PAIR " and was selected to play “taimur”. The play struck to be a mega block buster and besides earning him appreciation as an actor trained him to perform infront of the camera . This led to further recognition after playing in the funny funky "kollege jeans " and it was "landa bazar " that put him on the highway. While shooting landa bazar , he shot for “zid” , a lead for “ab bhee barish hoti hai” and a single play "jugnoon aur aanchal " .
ALI ZAFAR AS MODEL
Ali zafar’s modeling career began when he was sketching in the lobby hotel by fashion photographer , khawar riaz and hair stylist nabila.
They asked ali if he would liked to be model for them to which he approved .The offer was followed by a shoot the next day n the shoot was followed by various multi-national campaigns and shows later. Ali is one of the few male models who besides not pursuing modeling as a serious job got the maximum number of quality project’s and always had an edge over the others for his art of performance rather than just looking good .
