Ali Zafar’s appeal to Prime Minister to uplift the ban on ‘Tere Bin Laden’

Renowned Pakistani Singer, Ali Zafar appealed to the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan to uplift the ban on his Bollywood flick ‘Tere Bin Laden’ for it is a total pro-Pakistani movie.

The actor further explained that the movie does not contain any controversial, vulgar or derogatory remark against Pakistani Law enforcement agencies or Osama Bin Laden so it should be given a chance in the Pakistani cinema.

“I don’t want to hurt anyone’s idea or philosophy, Two years back when I was offered the movie, I went through the whole script and found that it was completely a comedy film without any controversy so I decided to do it” said the singer turned actor, Ali Zafar.

But you're forgetting that cinemas are still going to show other Bolly films. E.g if you look at cinepax website it is showing 'khatta meetha' and 'I hate love storys'. This is just one cinema house in Rawalpindi, just imagine the rest.

That is why I think 'Tere Bin Laden' should be shown - I rather people watched a film with Pakistani talent than the other rubbish. And personally I do support anything that pokes fun of a crackpot dumba$$ like Osama Bin Laden.

I think any movie that promotes Pakistani talent needs to be screened -- that's the way our actors can get some mileage on their home turf so to fuel a demand for their films made in their own country.

I hope PM does not honer the request with a reply. Its not the job of PM/President to reply to these kind of requests unless they are planning a publicity stunts.

Ali should contact the proper ministry for this.
