After winning the hearts of many with the splendid show performance against Germany in the round 16 of World Cup, the Algerians have decided to donate their prize money to the poor in Gaza.
UK-based Daily Mail reported Algeria forward Islam Slimani as saying, “[Gaza] need it more than us,” adding that, it was the team’s decision to donate the prize money.
The display of generosity by Algerians has once again surprised the whole world and surely they must have won more hearts.
On their return, Algerian team received an overwhelming welcome by the people. The players paraded through the streets in a bus.
Re: Algeria will donate their World Cup prize money to Gaza: report
Thats great, certainly a big news and we all should be very appreciative of them. Just wish if every (atleast muslim) country starts following their path.
The list is never complete unless you include the tyrant rulers of middle east. Is there any estimate of how much wealth they have?! If they dedicate only 0.nn (‘n’ being any number) of their wealth to Gaza, there’ll be nothing left that the poor Gazzans would wish for.
