I think the fault lies with Younis Khan. Why did he take the single of the last ball of the 49th over. He knew that both Shabbir and Kaneria are not very good bat and therefore should have refused the single and played the last over himself.

A bit of a limp batting display. The inexperienced top order couldn't handle the new ball, the middle order looked totally in control but tossed away their wickets (2 run outs) and failed to make the most of getting good starts apart from Younis. I think with so many all rounders in the team these sort of scores aren't good enough. The pitch is a bit slow but seemed easy enough for Malik, Younis, Yoyo and Rashid while they were out there. If we can get a couple of wickets with the new ball then we'll probably win, but a disppointing effort IMO.

he’s turning out to be the slower version of Afridi. He socred as many runs as Afridi, takes a wicket here and there and is a good fielder:rolleyes:

I'm looking forward to seeing Shabir Ahmed with the new ball. I only saw the highlights of the first match he played in but he seemed like a guy who can get batsmen out with a bit of seam movement, something we don't get much of in Pakistan. NZ bowlers got our first 3 batsmen out very cheaply with the new ball and looked fairly rubbish medium pacers after that.
As long as they show fighting spirit it doesn’t matter to me whether they win or not …

extras, extras, extras.. :halo: just as pakistani players gets a bit of a good trot going, they ruins it with closing of their overs. A rather disgraceful effort in a crunch match and could well cost Pakistan the game at this rate. sigh
52/0 pitch is batsman friendly, 198 will be easy to reach..........hope shoaib malik, Hafeez & Danish doesn't give extras, 20 extras runs already............tooo many no balls
Hope Pakistan can defend it and take some quick wickets which will put pressure on NZ team...
