It's just like in chemistry when my T.A. Pooja says don't add water to acid always add acid to water otherwise it will explode. I want to try it out and check for myself I think one day I am going to take some HCl outside and see for myself what happens.

Why the hell would someone add butter to boiling water to begin with???? I have never heard of such a recipe.
maryam!!! Don't you dare try that!! strong acids release a lot of heat when mixed with water, that's why you add the acid to water so it starts off diluted and you don't get such a strong reaction!! You don't want to splash your face with burning acid!
^ OK hayaa I didn't try it yet, yesterday I added like 60 mL water to like 1 mL of acid HCl and nothing happened because there was more water than acid all it did was sizzle, within the first couple of drops.
I was just curious, but I can't do it Pooja is always following me like a watchdog, advising me, she sits right next to me during lab it splashes me it'll splash her and she'll kill me.

Well, the Hcl that you readily have access too isn't too problematic. The REALLY dangerous thing is adding water to concentrated sulphuric acid. The heat of the reaction cause the water to boil immediately and turn into a cloud of vapour expanding in all directions , including down into the acid. This explosion of vapour will displace the now-heated acid around it, including properlling it vigourously upwards into your face. The concentrated acid will then proceed to attack your face. Trying to use water to wash of the acid will lead to the EXACT same problem as before, only now the explosion will be occuring inside the craters the acid has burned in your flesh.
In short, not a smart thing to do, unless you're planning on living a tottally disfigured life.
Stop messing about with nancy acids and butter. Try playing with 'hydrofluoric acid'. I had many a fun day all suited up in rubber with a full face mask too in my uni days and that was outside of class.
